I'm very disappointed and hurt by someone whom I thought to be respectable. The husband of a coworker of mine, who I considered respectable and a friend, honestly hurt me tonight. He is a Christian and is strong in his belief. I listened endlessly to his talks and preaching of the Bible to me, even though he knows I'm purely a nature worshiper and a lesbian. I knew he didn't agree with those choices like most Christians, which is fine to a point, but tonight he crossed the line with me.

We were talking about Politics and what is wrong with America, when the subject of our freedoms came up, and I brought up marriage. Well let's just say he tried to say Homosexuals DIDN'T have a right to get married, and that what we had been talking about was rights to raise children. I looked at him and said "Well let me tell you something. What you said right there is hurting those children. You're telling me because someone is homosexual we should not be able to get married and as such cannot adopt and have a family." And of course he tried to deny it and say that what he said was not to mean that. So I simply said "So tell me then since it didn't mean THAT, but homosexuality is so wrong and you're so afraid of them adopting, that you're saying is you'd rather a child NOT be in an unloving abusive family, starve on the street, or die of sickness when they could be helped, rather then be adopted by homosexuals?" And his response told me everything I needed to know, and completely changed my opinion of him. His response was simple.

"I'm not answering that."

Tell me that wasn't what he meant.
